Call to Action for the Murder of Ahmed Guled

To Anarchists, anti-authoritarians, Rebels, Revolutionaries and pissed off poor People: This is a call to retaliate for the murder of Ahmed Guled, shot to death by police on February 5 while driving a stolen car.

When a person steals something in this capitalist society they are Rebeling against a system of wage slavery where their value is measured by what they produce for the ruling class. They are refusing to obey rules written by the powerful to keep the powerless in place.

We must stand in solidarity with marginalized people engaging in any form of direct action against capitalism and defend them from attack by the henchmen of the ruling class, the police.

Unemployment is up, wages are down, people are getting kicked out of their homes, capitalism is failing but the banks are being bailed out. The kindling is piled high around this structure of oppression, just waiting for a spark.

Alexandros Grigoropoulos provided the spark for Athens. Oscar Grant provided the spark for Oakland.

We are the ones we have been waiting for! The time is now! The police have murdered yet another person of color in Minneapolis!

For Quincy Smith, Ahmed Guled and everyone who ever died at the hands of a pig, it's time to fuck shit up!

If you focus your rage directly at capitalist institutions and those paid to protect them--corporations and cops--your message will not be lost in the mayhem.

You have nothing to lose by but your chains, you have a world to win!

Raise Up and Tear Down Their Gates!

Sorry dude, but when you

Sorry dude, but when you come to America you should know the laws and NOT try running cops over, maybe the idiot shouldn't try killing other people and put their lives in danger. I'm sorry but Somali's can't drive in the first place. I can't agree with anything you've said and the police had a justified killing, maybe the English language should be understood better so incidents like this don't occur more often. I feel bad for his family who came over to our country for a better life and probably had to work two or three jobs while he wasted his life pulling this crap. What a waste of a life.

Wow, two comments of mine deleted. I guess in addition to being too lazy to actually better your situation in society, you are also too lazy or unintelligent to form a logical rebuttal to my statements so you just delete them. I maintain, it would have been impossible for the police to racially profile the driver of this car in the dark when it was traveling at them at speed. Oh yeah, and good job MPD.

You are correct - (at least,

You are correct - (at least, I can't tell because you post anonymously) two comments of yours were hidden for violating our editorial policy, which says in part that we delete...

3) Hateful and inflammatory material that stifles interaction by perpetuating oppression of marginalized groups

There are no shortage of places on the internet where you're free to spout racist rhetoric and congratulate the police. I suggest going to one of those sites. In the mean time I take full ownership for deleting such comments, and in fact I'll probably delete this one in a little while.

(PS. anyone who also wants the ability to delete racist comments is welcome to get involved in the editorial collective by contacting us, although you'll have to agree with the IMC principles of unity, which seems to disqualify the fellow above.)

So basically anything that

So basically anything that is counter to your ideology or opinion is considered hateful and racist...how convenient. Don't worry, I won't be patronizing this site as I don't need to "blame the man" to account for my life troubles. Good luck with your childish protests and riots. Hope you accomplish something other than further marginalization of your cause, though it is doubtful.

While I haven't seen the

While I haven't seen the so-called racist comments of the anonymous poster, it's a little hypocritical to claim "editorial integrity" when this site is notorious for deleting comments for no editorial reason whatsoever. It seems that the editors of this site are guilty of the same oppression that they are always railing against. #3 of the editorial policy is purposely vague and open to interpretation. Those who have the ability to delete comments are able to interpret any contrary opinion to the majority of those on the site as inflammatory and oppressive. Now that's ironic. As the member of a minority group (those with a contrary opinion), I feel oppressed. Time for a civil suit.

I'm sorry to say that while

I'm sorry to say that while I can agree with the general theory of anarchy that those officers were protecting their own lives. If you don't want to get shot, trying to run over a police officer is not a smart way to avoid that.

If "anarchy" is stealing and

If "anarchy" is stealing and trashing the things other people have worked hard for, if it's endangering the lives of innocent people because you're too lazy to put in the necessary work for the things you want, fuckin' count me out. Hell, Ahmed didn't have to leave Somalia if THAT was the kind of "anarchy" he was after.

Anarchism does not

Anarchism does not necessarily mean breaking windows and stealing. It doesnt even necessarily mean breaking rules!
Anarchy just means an absence of hierarchy. True equality and freedom. Anything else is left to each individual Anarchist to define for their self.
Power corrupts-- every time. I am interested in a world where no one has any more or less power than anyone else.
Unfortunately that dream is far from the current state of the world where there are countless power structures in place every where we look. So, bringing about that dream is going to involve the dismantling or destruction of those power structures.
The state protects itself through violence so it will take violence to destroy the state.

A

P.S. Why give a police force with an history of violence against people of color any benefit of doubt in this case? Only people there really no what happened.

I think it's a mistake to

I think it's a mistake to automatically assume that the witness, who was originally being detained by police over a "shots fired" call they received, is completely above bias or having an axe to grind either though.

As I understand it, the incident was captured on police video (after all, he was being chased by two squad cars and driving at four other officers). Why not let a review of the evidence speak for itself? Why not focus efforts on making that tape public, so we can judge for ourselves?
