DEFEND THE RNC 8

The RNC 8 are Twin Cities residents facing felony conspiracy charges for organizing against the 2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul. MN. They were arrested preemptively (many in early morning house raids), held for the duration of the convention, and prevented from participating in the very protests they helped to make happen. They spent the next seven months being demonized as “terrorists” by Ramsey County officials, and they are still facing possible prison time for exercising their right to dissent.

We demand that Ramsey County Prosecutor Susan Gaertner DROP ALL CHARGES against them.

This case is an opportunity to demonstrate community solidarity is the face of repression, and to establish a precedent of the face of repression, and to establish a president of successful resistance to the government’s attempts to destroy our movements. The RNC 8 aren’t the first nor the last organizers to be targeted by the state. By actively defending them, we help defend us all.

Right to dissent

I think that thier right to dissent went up in smoke when they planned criminal activity.  Hopefully the prosecuter will live up to her award and procure convictions on these idiots called the rnc 8.

when everything is illegal, only outlaws will be free

The RNC8 Did Not plan

The RNC8 Did Not plan "criminal activity".  Long live the RNC8 and all those like them!
