Bike! Bike! is an international annual conference organized by and for Not-For-Profit bike projects. It takes place in a different city within the United States each year (perhaps it will expand to one of our neighborhoods one day?). This year it will be hosted by the Grease Pit in Minneapolis.

Yep, it's on halloween. For real.

Bring yer favorite ridiculous costume, or not. But do bring police repellant, as always.

Ticketing of London Critical Mass, England.

Reports are coming in of police ticketing and searching riders during last night's ride and this seems to indicate a stepping up of police harassment, maybe in advance of the House of Lords appeal hearing in October, or in imitation of heavy-handed New York and Minneapolis police perhaps?

Crit. Mass made it to downtown St. Paul security perimeter at 7th St

user submitted report: heavy security perimeter @ Xcel. Cops were boxing ride the whole way in teams of 10. Cop microtrucks were handing out water to everyone, which was nice of them. no arrests before downtown St. Paul, afaik.

Friday Critical Mass

Critical Mass tonight begins at 5:30 at Loring Park in downtown Minneapolis. Reports have been coming in of dozens to hundreds of police staging for possible mass arrests.

Communities United Against Police Brutality has put out an emergency call for copwatchers.

The RNC Welcoming Committee is encouraging organizers and participants in S1 sectors actions to consider not participating in the critical mass.
