Faux blood drive fliers and the red cross' homophobic policy

A group (H.O.M.O.) Humans Opposed to Medical Oppression posted fliers around the twin cities in the last week advertising a Red Cross blood drive that included the statement "No Faggots" to draw attention to a homophobic policy that excludes men who have had sex with men from donating blood.

Soul Force Equality Rider tells his story

On Wednesday, January 21, Soul Force Equality Rider, Enzi Tanner, will share his experiences as a member of the Soul Force Equality Ride in the fall of 2008. The vision statement of The Soul Force Equality Ride states: “The purpose of Soulforce is freedom for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people from religious and political oppression through the practice of relentless nonviolent resistance." Founded by Rev. Mel White and Gary Nixon, the Ride aims to cut off homophobia at its source, religious bigotry.
